To practice smudging around your home, on an object, or yourself:

• Clear your mind and set your intentions
• Open windows for ventilation and energy flow
• Light a smudge stick from the top end or crush its leaves and put them on a burning charcoal tablet on a safe dish, such as our Om Mani Tibetan Censer.
• Gently direct the smoke bath around the person, object or space needing cleansing using either a feather, fan, or your hand.
• Catch falling ashes using your vessel of choice, such as our Natural Abalone Shell
• Pray, meditate, recite your mantras or simply focus on the task at hand
• Relax as your mind, body, spirit, or space is purified of negative energy
• Return ashes to the earth, if possible.

Keep out of reach of children, pets, and flammable material.

Never leave smudge sticks burning unattended.

If using charcoal, allow coals to extinguish completely and cool for at least 2 hours before throwing away your ashes.
